The Hog Roast Wolverhampton team got the chance to demonstrate our corporate catering prowess recently when a company asked us to provide a formal sit down meal for their 200 employees at their annual awards ceremony! It is an event they have been running for the past few years as a way of acknowledging the hard work everyone does across all of the departments of their business, as well as being a way of drumming up a bit of healthy competition between colleagues!
After viewing our corporate hospitality menus the event organisers thought we would be the ideal catering choice for the evening, and they were particularly impressed with our commitment to making every part of the menu from scratch at the venue using only the best ethically-reared meat and locally sourced ingredients!
To give their employees an extra treat, they chose a menu that included a canape welcome reception and a choice of two different succulent meats. They opted for some of our classic slow-roasted pork served with our homemade apple sauce and crispy crackling, along with our tender free range chicken served with chipolata sausage stuffing and onion gravy, all accompanied by seasonal vegetables and rosemary new potatoes. They decided on an elegant starter of smoked salmon served with prawn and avocado and they wanted to end the meal with profiteroles and individually handmade cheesecakes. It was a great menu, even if we do say so ourselves!
We arrived on-site 8 hours before the event was due to start in order to give us plenty of time to freshly prepare all of the delicious menu items, including all of our handcrafted canapes! Hog Roast Wolverhampton’s experienced team made sure everything ran like clockwork, from the moment our diners were greeted with a platter of canapes by our own front of house team, until the last dessert plate was collected at the end of the evening. It was a great event with lots of people receiving the recognition they deserved, and Hog Roast Wolverhampton’s refined food was a huge hit with everyone. The event organisers told us they were very impressed with our food and service, and they would definitely love to hire us again!
