Contacting Spitting Pig was on my to do list for today.

Our day was terrific

As described in your web pages John our server (along with Lisa) arrived at the agreed time, set up, prepared the Hog Roast with accompanying side dishes, all with the minimum of fuss. In fact we hardly knew he was there, except for the tantalising aroma.

All our guests were raving about the quality of the Hog Roast and they all went back for seconds.

We look forward to doing it again next year.

John was extremely courteous and professional, and took time to chat with our guests. Couldn’t rate him highly enough.

We booked you for our wedding meal and the service we received was phenomenal. They took care to ensure allergies were catered for and the food was kept separate to minimise cross contamination.

The staff were friendly and professional with a cheerful and polite service provided.

The food was amazing and the chef made sure to speak to us to ensure the menu was to our exact liking. The meats were perfectly cooked and tender and was neither fatty nor grisly.

We couldn’t have asked for better and I would highly recommend to others looking for caterers.

My experience with Spitting Pig from start to finish has been so easy! Initially started from a quick Google search, I found Spitting Pig quickly and the clear website made it easy to find what I was looking – a local hog roast supplier. Comms with the team have been swift and accommodating, menu choices were vast and all appealing!

Set up on the day was quick, efficient and professional. Staff were polite, friendly and courteous. Food prep was done on site using fresh ingredients, the pig smelled divine whilst in the roaster!!!! The food was absolutely delicious – the best pork I’ve had in probably ever. There was an excellent selection of bread rolls/wraps to choose from, a fantastic vegetarian option (halloumi skewers), the stuffing and apple sauce was also delicious and the fresh salads and new potatoes were really yummy too. Service was good and no scrimping on portions! It was a perfect set up and we had amazing weather – lovely and sunny.

The team packed away so quickly, leaving no hint on site that they’d ever been there.

An absolute first class service and I’m already looking for a reason to use them again soon!

After realising that our Christmas party wasn’t going to happen this year due to COVID, someone suggested that we have a hog roast instead and boy am I glad they did. You always deliver such excellent service and the team are a delight to have on our project. Being Christmas we decided to go for the festive menu and it was yummy. Turkey roast with all the trimmings and a warm mince pie to top off. Thank you so much and cant wait to have you back in 2021.

Having been self employed my whole life, in 2019 I was looking for a complete life change and looked into franchises.

I came across the Spitting Pig franchise and am so glad I did! I got an immediate call back and all information provided and arranged to go to head office to meet the team within a week.

The difference with this franchise compared to many, was you really are part of a team with Spitting Pig working with and for you to develop your business, but at the same time it’s still your  business to run yourself. So many franchises you pay your money then you’re left in your own. Spitting Pig is very different with access at all times to head office who do an amazing job for you on marketing, sales, accounts – literally everything.

Even with the pandemic hitting us hard in 2020, the team have been right behind us in all aspects helping us out and bookings for 2021 & 2022 are phenomenal.

Best decision I’ve made to be part of a great team of head office, fellow franchisees, it’s a great fun business giving people great food at a huge variety of events and venues and nicest way to make a living – would highly recommend.

Dear Jake and the Spitting Pig Team,

Charlie and I would like to thank you for everything on Sunday. It went without a hitch, and all our guests raved about the food. Most of them didn’t know there was going to be a hog roast, so it was a very pleasant surprise indeed! The personal touch of going around the party with first pieces of crackling was an absolute hit, and I have never seen so many faces light up in one go!

The hog was cooked to perfection and the gluten free rolls were the best I’ve ever had – can you share your secret supplier?!

Everyone was so well looked after, and we were so impressed with the whole set up. Charlie and I popped to the vineyard to drop off the birthday cake at 10am, and Jake and the team were already set up raring to go. It looked smart and professional, and I know the vineyard team were also really impressed at your set up, so it is worth staying in touch with Dan Grainger at Gusbourne for any future events.

I cannot thank Jake enough for the attention to detail and for going out of his way to come for a site visit, and making sure everything was perfect on the day.

We cannot fault a thing and would have the Spitting Pig again for another party, in a heartbeat, and will be sure to leave great feedback for you elsewhere.

We were delighted with the service we received from our initial enquiry right up until the moment everything was packed up and taken away.

It was our son’s wedding on one of the windiest days of the year.  We heard that outdoor festivals had been cancelled and roads were being closed but we received a text from Jean Paul to say he was on his way and they arrived and set up with no fuss at all.

There was plenty of food to go around, the vegetarian option, stuffing and the sides were excellent and those that managed to get some crackling haven’t stopped talking about it!!

After they had packed up we were left with foil wraps of all the last bits of meat left on the bone, enough for all those still around the following morning to have overfilled pork baps and tomato sauce, which turned out to be the best ever hangover cure.

I would definitely use Spitting Pig again and wouldn’t hesitate in giving a ten out of ten for service, taste and value for money.

We found Spitting Pig on the web and could see they had excellent reviews. We contacted them and they were so responsive and helpful that we booked them to cater for 70 people at an informal wedding party. They could not have been more helpful.

We upgraded our package and nothing was too much trouble for them. The two very polite and friendly young ladies handed out canapés as guests arrived. All plates and cutlery were provided and we all enjoyed a lovely meal of roast pig and turkey with lovely roast potatoes, salads and the usual accompaniments. We then had a choice of two delicious puddings.

John and his team really excelled and worked so hard to make our event special. We had nothing but glowing compliments from guests. We would highly recommend Spitting Pig and thank you so much to John and his team for making it such a special occasion.

The whole experience was a huge success. I had to organise catering with less than a weeks’ notice and the booking team came back to my enquiry immediately with Quotes which included Menu options, clear pricing and availability. As this was a Corporate function this was key in putting this through our system for payment.

I felt confident in the brand from the very first contact – very much a valued customer and very much looked after. The team were happy to tailor the menu to the function and were not swayed by the request to feed over 200 people at very short notice.

Leading up to the day the team were in regular contact and provided the name and contact details for the catering Manager on the day. Raffa and the catering team arrived at the agreed time and were very self-contained. They did not get flustered when we had an issue with power and were completely personable, professional and honestly just a pleasure to have at our facility.

The food was fantastic – everything was incredibly fresh and of excellent quality. Every single member of staff was happy – even if they didn’t eat the hog roast itself the Team provided a great selection of fresh salads, coleslaw, whole roast chickens, vegetarian Halloumi and veg skewers and vegan veg skewers. There were wraps for those who did not want rolls, plenty of stuffing and crackling and all the trimmings.

The service we received from Martin and his colleague was second to none – in fact faultless.

I got to the venue and Martin had already set up, the food was excellent and there was plenty in fact it could not all be eaten on the night.  I donated it to the pub and it provided food on their quiz night – everyone loved it and there was no waste.  BONUS.

So many of our guests commented on the quality, taste of the food and the service your staff provided – most went up for seconds.   Also everyone that had one loved the halloumi kebabs!!!!

My husbands surprise party was a roaring success made complete by the catering provided by Rafa and The Spitting Pig Co.

The process of organising from start to finish was made easy and stress free with your company, to the point Rafa slipped in and out of the party with all his equipment and the hog relatively unnoticed but leaving behind lovely doggy bags of left overs! Dietary requirements were no issue, vegetarians included! The weather was dreadful with Storm Dennis making an appearance on the day but this didn’t pose a problem for Rafa who was reassuring and confident it could be worked around.

Rafa encouraged the hog to be part of an experience within the party allowing guests to serve from the hog themselves explaining the different types of meat and what he would recommend to each guest dependent on their likes. The food was DELICIOUS and the crackling was to die for!!!!! Every guest was mad for the crackling!

Thank you so much! I would strongly recommend The Spitting Pig Co. to anyone considering a hog roast for their event, you can’t go wrong!

The event went better than I could have hoped for. Alex (our cook for the night) was absolutely fantastic – I got a significant amount of comments on how professional, friendly and helpful he was. The food was of the highest quality and the whole process or setting up, completing the cooking, serving and clearing up was exemplary. The icing on the cake was the way the leftovers were presented and packaged – perfect!

I was very eager to start a new challenge and motivate myself in a new job role. After some research I decided that Spitting Pig was for me. I joined in April 2019 and my franchise area in Cheshire.

It was quite daunting to make the decision to join but I had nothing to worry about. Steve, the team at head office and other Spitting Pig Franchisees have been nothing but helpful and informative and have helped my confidence grow leaps and bounds whilst I found my feet and enabled me to accomplish great things this past year.

The experience has been hard work and challenging yet thoroughly enjoyable. I have enjoyed being my own boss and have a fantastic team around me including family. No job is the same, each customer, venue and event is different from weddings to corporate events. The job is very rewarding, I have enjoyed providing excellent standards and service and building customer relationships. I enjoy taking part in their special day and the feedback I receive makes it all the more worthwhile.
It’s good to know that I have the help, advice and the support system around me at Spitting Pig.

I always wanted to run a new business within the catering industry but wasn’t sure what to do. It is a big leap into the unknown as I had never ran a business for myself. Buying into a franchise at 19 was quite daunting to us. We didn’t know how the first year would go as we established a new area and got familiar with the different menus. Fortunately, Steve and the team at head office have fully supported us, we could completely trust them in accomplishing a great result in marketing, sales and even with help on the jobs.

Despite it being work and sometimes rather stressful; it is quite a sociable and enjoyable experience since you meet different kinds of people from all walks of life, even sometimes celebrities! This past summer we catered at an event where David Neilson (Roy Cropper in Coronation Street) was a guest, and the summer before we catered for an event organised by Feargal Sharkey. Additionally, we have catered at some amazing venues, even castles! It makes the experience more intriguing and fun as you never know where you will end up.

Thanks to the hard work of the entire team, both in the office and our catering teams, Beth and I have been able to achieve a successful and well established franchise area. And best thing is we get to work together.

Where do I start… I cannot thank Mark and his team enough for the wonderful BBQ they hosted at our Corporate Event recently.

We opted for the Southern Slow Gourmet Menu and we literally couldn’t fault a thing. The food was delicious and tasty, plus there was so much of it.

The amount of compliments I have received from my wedding guests about the food has been unbelievable!
Every single guest was blown away. We had guests who had allergies and also vegetarians, and they were also blown away with the selection.

Our pre-wedding hog roast dinner at Euridge Manor, catered by Spitting Pig, was a great addition to our wedding weekend festivities! The food was incredible—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and plentiful. There was so much left over that we were able to enjoy it as a post-wedding midnight snack the following day, which was a real treat.

The chef was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, making the whole experience even better. His expertise really shone through in the quality of the roast, and he was a pleasure to have around. The presentation was spot-on, with a wide range of delicious additions to customize each plate. Even our dogs couldn’t stop staring, eagerly waiting for their portion!

Spitting Pig exceeded our expectations in every way, and we couldn’t have been happier with the service.

To be honest, I don’t know where to start! Firstly, the customer service we received from booking them, all the way through to the actual event was really great, helpful with all my questions and were in contact to ensure all was going to plan. They turned up when expected and were really friendly and just got on with setting up happily. We ordered a hog roast with stuffing and a vegan option of halloumi and veg skewers, with sweet potato fries and salad/coleslaw as a side for 100 people … it was absolutely incredible, I cannot even begin to describe how good, everyone kept coming up to me saying how amazing it was. The staff happily left us the remainder of the food that wasn’t consumed and this was gone pretty much within the hour after the staff left the event as people just couldn’t get enough of it! On top of that, the staff were so great, happily chatting away to us and overall just had a really good vibe! I will happily be recommending Spitting Pig to anyone that needs catering!

The team catered for 40 with minimum fuss and followed all special requests. The team were great and even more importantly the food was amazing and we had enough left over for seconds for the day after. Great service and I would definitely use the team again.

They were great. A really professional outfit, and very passionate about their food and service. I really cannot recommend them highly enough to do justice to their performance at my 50th birthday party.
We were worried that for a smart black tie event that they would not be the right thing, but they were wonderful. They were invariably professional, well organised, accommodating and efficient people with which to deal. The pork itself was juicy and really delicious – cooked for hours – they had woken at 4am to have it ready for 8:30pm but the crackling was what attracted the highest praise. The sides and salads were all great too – and they served my birthday cake with their usual efficiency. They seemed to be a really well run and friendly team of people too, if only more businesses were like them.
