Hog Roast Cambourne Brought The RAF Lakenheath Community Together With Hog Roast Sandwiches!

Hog Roast Cambourne ended February on a high note by catering at an Island party event for the RAF Lakenheath community!

The mass-scale celebration was attended by a whopping 1,500 guests, and our catering manager, Ben, was charged with making sure that all those who turned out to take part in the festivities were treated to a truly spectacular meal at the request of the Community Relations Manager, Natalie, who was our main point of contact for this celebration.

As the head event organiser, Natalie had a lot on her plate with sorting out an event for all those guests, but Ben was able to promise a smooth, hassle-free food service, which instantly put her mind at ease. Together, the two picked out the best-fitting menu for the occasion, which just so happened to be our Classic Hog Roast feast.

Taking a more simplistic approach to catering, this Hog Roast Cambourne signature menu proved to be the ideal solution for the day as it allowed guests to move more freely, mingle with each other and explore the copious amount of entertainment options, all while munching on one of our delicious hog roast sandwiches. This gave the entire event a very relaxed feel, which the guests seemed to really appreciate.

Hog Roast CambourneAs for the food itself, the guests couldn’t believe how much flavour our team had managed to pack into one roll! Combining juicy shredded pork with salty pork scratchings, sage and onion stuffing, applesauce and salad, the guests were transported to cloud nine after biting into this Hog Roast Cambourne masterpiece. The veggies and vegans were also extremely impressed with our grilled veggie skewers, which were served with tzatziki dip and flatbreads.

Aside from the mouth-watering hog roast, guests were free to treat their taste buds to ice cream, candy floss, popcorn and refreshing drinks that were available from other vendors. When it came to the entertainment, Natalie had gone all out by organising hula dancers, steel drummers, a live band, surfing and golf simulators, a mermaid (not a real one), an inflatable limbo game, carnival games, bouncy castles and more, which kept the guests busy all afternoon!
