Hog Roast Widnes recently catered for Francine and John’s wedding, providing a delicious two-course meal for the occasion. John contacted our catering manager Sam to discuss menu options- he needed something that would be ideal for 74 guests and included a meat-free option. after looking throughout the menus, it was decided that our classic hog roast would be ideal, with an additional starter of canapés. The Hog Roast Widnes was more than happy to get involved with this and provide catering for this great occasion!

Hog Roast WidnesOn the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Widnes arrived at Eccleston Village Hall with plenty of time to freshly prepare the dishes. We began by serving canapes as the guests arrived, with dishes including mini pizzas, mini Yorkshire puddings, smoked salmon, and chicken satay. Canapés are an excellent introduction to our catering style and the dishes went down a treat with the guests.

Following this, we served a classic hog-roast for the main course, accompanied by all of the trimmings. For meat-free guests, we served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, and the younger guests enjoyed hot dogs with finger rolls and a selection of sauces. Alongside the mains, we also provided a selection of seasonal salad dishes and roasted baby new potatoes. This created a delicious and varied main course, with something for everyone to enjoy.
