My son, Andrew, had his wedding party at Spean Bridge on 2nd. March. My wife and I have only just got back off holiday, so this is the first opportunity to thank the Spitting Pig team for making the wedding such a success. Many people have said it was the best wedding party they have ever been to; quite something as it was in a remote community hall. Some of the guests came all the way from New Zealand and an English family had flown up from the south coast. Many more had driven up from the north of England. They were not disappointed and the highlight of the day was the roast dinner provided by Steven and his team.

Steven and the two ladies (sorry, don’t know their names) arrived after a long drive to deliver a first class meal for 80 people. They were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Cooking outside under a gazebo, in early March, was no easy task; but the meal and its presentation was outstanding. We can’t thank everybody enough for helping to make our special day perfect.

We booked The Spitting Pig Hog Roast for my son’s wedding celebration on 30th December. They married in Hawaii in August in Hawaii and now live in New Zealand. I was quite nervous as I was co-ordinating it all in the UK and the hog-roast was my son’s idea (in December!)

From the moment I booked it, the communication with Kate at Spitting Pig was first class and she went out of her way to reassure me and give me hints and tips. Then there was the wonderful Darren! Darren called me soon after I made the booking and was SO helpful and reassuring, again, with plenty of suggestions about quantities and the location of the hog roast. He then called me 2 more times, once the day before the event to discuss the location. Communication, again, was superb. My son called Darren and his comment was ‘what a lovely guy!’.

The hog roast itself was SUPERB!! Positioned just outside the entrance in the end which worked really well actually. Honestly I can find no areas for improvement!. The pork was delicious, the crackling was crunchy, the rolls were fresh and the apple sauce and coleslaw delicious. Everyone said that Darren was super chatty and friendly and really made the event super special. Darren and his wife did an amazing job, took everything in their stride and were very friendly. I would highly recommend them and would use you again in a heartbeat! THANK YOU!!

It was amazing – the most perfect wedding day!

The food was phenomenal! Beautiful yummy pork, the stuffing was my favourite. So glad we upgraded to have the chicken skewers too as they were delicious! The accompanying sides/salads/potatoes were all very lovely too.

We’ve had so many compliments from the guests saying how tasty and moist the meat was. They all seemed to enjoy it too. My mother-in-law has taken your details as is hoping to book for her 50th birthday party next year!

It was exactly the vibe we wanted for food at our wedding. We didn’t want a formal sit-down meal but still wanted guests to feel they’d had a good meal. The portion sizes were ample, some guests having seconds and thirds and still having loads left over in boxes for us to enjoy later!

Martin and Caitlin were fantastic! The communication before the event was top notch and put my mind at ease. They set up while we were out at the ceremony and the smell upon returning home was mouth-watering!! They were both so polite and attentive, I cannot fault them.

They tidied everything away and didn’t leave anything for me to sort yesterday.

All in all, if the occasion arose again, I would not hesitate to book with you again and would recommend to anyone who asked! Thank you so much to all for the planning and helping the day run so smoothly for us.

Our chef was absolutely amazing! So lovely and helpful and wanting to do everything he could do make our day so special! He went above and beyond to help make our menu suitable to all our guests including vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan and gluten free!

Our chef and all the servers were very professional and so helpful.

The food was served with brilliant timing, it all looked and tasted so amazing!! Everyone was salivating massively smelling it being cooked, and the taste definitely lived up to expectations!

Many thanks for your email – I had intended to write anyway, given the exceptional level of service that we have received.

Ben and the Team were fantastic. They arrived slightly early, so rang me to double check things prior to my arrival – friendly, helpful, professional in the extreme. They simply got on, got stuff sorted, everything set up, checking throughout with me to make sure we were all okay with things. The set up was great, with tables, gazebo, etc. and the pig itself at the centre of things – nicely cooked, beautifully served, with more than enough for everyone involved (and more!). The leftovers were provided with instructions and advice and the clean up was swift, unobtrusive and again, highly professional.

The Spitting Pig team were all great, engaging with participants and ensuring that they were an integral part of what was a great day. The sun shining always helps, but I get the feeling that this would have been the approach no matter what – really impressive. Above and beyond what we expected and testament to the customer focused approach of the team.

I cannot speak highly enough – I can be a bit of a grumpy old man at times, but there was absolutely nothing to be unhappy about!

We had the Spitting Pig come and cater a wonderful Hog Roast spread for us last week. As we are a company with 300+ employees, it is often hard to find something everyone likes. Ben and Beth were early to our site which was excellent, the two of them managed wonderfully in preparing all the food to be served right on time for when I had requested.

Everyone gave feedback that their service was excellent and the food was delicious. Their set up was self sufficient and compact, and they cleared everything away at the end and left as if they had never been here! No mess, no fuss, just lovely food and a very warm service.

I could not recommend them enough and will definitely be reaching out to them again.

We hired Spitting Pig for our dads 60th party. We wanted something a little special. The booking process was easy and all the team were on hand to take calls (and actually speak to us) which is pretty unique now days. They showed on time and the set up looked fantastic. All our guests commented on how tasty the food was and a lot went up for seconds.

We thought value for money was great as the food is professionally served, the cutlery was provided and there were no messy hands in any of the food like when having a buffet.

They cleaned the area well after serving time had finished. They were polite and friendly.

I will be using them again and I recommend them completely!!

Wanted to say a massive thank you for your with our garden party on the 8^th July!

The two members of staff were absolutely fantastic, they arrived early, set up quickly and were so friendly and helpful.  It was a very hot afternoon and it didn’t seem to phase them at all, they worked with constant smiles and were very polite and approachable.

They kept me updated with their progress and checked several times if I was okay and happy with their plans.

The food was AMAZING! To see them prepare everything fresh on site was lovely and the hog roast was so succulent and juicy. I received such good feedback from the guests saying how yummy it all was.

When they finished they came and made sure I was happy, packing down quickly and quietly as to not disturb the party. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even leaving us wrapped up leftovers.

I can’t believe this week has passed so quickly but all I can say is The Spitting Pig helped make my 50th birthday party really successful. Everyone has been so complimentary about the food. There was plenty and so fresh, we even had left overs for Sunday. All packaged up for us on the night.

I feel really bad but have completely forgotten the names of the two men who sorted it all out for me. I’m blaming that on age! But I need to say a great big thank you as I didn’t even have to meet them at the venue and it was all set up perfectly. They were a real pleasure and everyone commented on how friendly they were. They remained really flexible on the serving time, and herding the guests out to eat was like herding cats!

I didn’t have the opportunity to say goodbye properly as I believe I was on the dance floor but my niece Jodie did the goodbyes.

I really think there will be many more bookings after this. The quality of the food, plates and napkins was second to none but what really stood out was the fact I could relinquish control and it all ran perfectly.

We are happy to recommend the Spitting Pig company. The website gave us sufficient information to realise that you were offering the kind of service we were looking for. From the very first email contact the experience was very positive and made very easy by the attention of you and your colleagues.

Once we were directly in touch with the Shropshire franchise the professionalism continued. The couple of chats we had with Joe were very helpful and we were confident that our requirements were being met.

On the day, Joe and Andy arrived at the planned time and were very flexible and approachable to discussing the options for siting the tables and tents. As it turned out the weather challenge was gusting wind, but they coped fantastically, adapting and moving to ensure the best and most efficient service.

The food was superb and was commented on by all of our guests. Just before they departed I thanked them in front of everyone and they received a well-deserved round of applause!

I trust they had a safe journey home and I sent them a text message to repeat our thanks.

The event was a complete success with many people saying that the food was the best that we’ve had on site for a very long time.

Rob, Callum and Jade were amazing.  They arrived and set up promptly. They were professional, provided their hygiene, etc. certificates and adhered to our safety rules on site.

There were a few issues with wind interfering with the BBQ but Rob managed that swiftly and food was served on time.  All agreed that time queuing was minimal and they enjoyed being together with team mates, which is something that we haven’t been able to do for such a long time due to COVID.

The food was amazing, hot, fresh and flavourful with plenty of variety.  Rob and his small team were friendly and cheerful throughout.

We are planning another event in September and we would definitely like to have Rob and his team back on site for that.  I’ll be in touch shortly to discuss this.

Thank you for your good wishes for our daughter’s wedding on 14^th May 2022 – the entire day was a massive success and a superb time was had by all.

We had an informal marquee wedding reception with a ‘street food’ vibe – the Spitting Pig Co. set-up fitted in perfectly in every respect; your gazebo layout looked brilliant, exactly what we had hoped for!

The food itself was truly amazing! We were served an outstanding selection of canapés, which looked phenomenal and tasted even better. The hog roast was equally incredible – beautifully presented, with some splendid salads, coleslaw and new potatoes – impeccable in every way!

Throughout the entire day, we were well and truly looked after by Dave, Jack and Andy who really went the extra mile to make our event a success. They set up your equipment (to our rather demanding specifications!), coped with the sudden timing changes to our schedule (entirely our doing!) and served us brilliantly – always with humour and always with a smile – exceptional service from an exceptionally competent team; huge thanks to all of them.

The success of any event is dependent on all the many elements coming together on the day – your team was enormously instrumental in making our day so very special.

Jamie and his team are really nice people….they were professional and personable, they took time to answer many questions, offer useful advice and interact, very appropriately, with our guests.  The pig and all his accompaniments were delicious (especially the stuffing). Everything was spotlessly clean and, very importantly, no food was wasted. It was absolutely perfect thank you! We’re big foodies so it really made our wedding day super special.

The canapes were so tasty, and they just kept coming out which was fantastic! Everyone was commenting on how lovely they were and they did their job keeping everyone happy until after our first dance, as we didn’t want to dance on a full stomach!

The main food was perfect, everything we expected and more, as the portions were insane… our main plan was that no one left the wedding hungry, and there was no way they could have! So massive thank you to the friendly and professional Spitting Pig team.

On 16th April I had a wonderful Birthday Celebration.

The Spitting Pig Company provided a superb Hog Roast. The Hog was presented in a very theatrical way and our mouths were watering as the pork was carved and the crackling crackled. The accompaniments served with the meat were delicious. The various salads were extremely tasty with wonderful flavours in the dressings. The food was of the very best quality which was obvious in the taste. The desserts were also delicious.

The service I received from Jon and Mark our two chefs was second to none. They were very professional and friendly. All my guests were so impressed, it was an absolute  pleasure to deal with them, both Jon and Mark certainly added to the evenings success.

I first contacted The Spitting Pig Company in October 2021 with regard to providing a Hog Roast.

Penny and the staff dealt with every enquiry with such efficiency I never had a moment of concern. They made me feel as if I was a very important client, nothing was to much trouble and their advice was invaluable.

I am totally kidding…Ben and his team were so lovely and kind. They made our event so delicious! They greeted each customer in line with a smile and a massive sandwich. I booked Spitting Pig Surrey’s spit roast hog for a wedding party in December. First and foremost, the pork was absolutely delicious – juicy and crunchy in all the right places, and the vegan option of pulled jackfruit received lots of compliments too.

Shaun was friendly, professional, and very flexible with his plans. They were cooking outside in the cold under a gazebo, but you wouldn’t know that from their cheerful service. The food was ready right on time and everything was set up and put away so quickly and quietly that I hardly noticed.

I would very strongly recommend Spitting Pig to anyone looking for a feast.

Joe and David were great very easy to talk to very friendly and calm and professional.

As you know I booked this at the very last minute not expecting you to be able to accommodate yes but you managed to do so even with such short notice. The process ended up being stressless and seamless and the menu options you gave us were sublime.

On the day of the BBQ all I can say really is that the food was beyond fabulous, the girls thoroughly enjoyed everything, it made their event special, David and Craig were so accommodating with everyone and a credit to your company.

I thought the food was excellent and I was delighted with it. Several people took your business cards as they might want to use you at one of their events.

We had Spitting Pig cater at our event on Friday 13^th August 2021.

Both members of staff on site (sorry I didn’t catch their names) were absolutely fantastic, the food was ready to be served on time and they were most friendliest, helpful and accommodating. They arrived in plenty time and left without a trace! The young girl was attentive and always running around clearing up crockery etc. The gentleman was a great laugh, making sure everyone was happy with their dishes. Both went the extra mile to ensure their catering ran smoothly and was received well.

The food itself was delicious with both options going down a treat and many going up for seconds.

A great big thank you for making our event what it was – we all have no hesitation to recommend Spitting Pig further and I think a few members of staff will already be in touch for bookings.
