Hog Roast BridgwaterWedding season is in full swing and we are loving every second of it so far. Lately, the Hog Roast Bridgwater team has barely had a moment to catch its breath – and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s something about weddings that just hits differently: the energy, the build-up, the sense that you’re part of something really special… it never gets old.

One wedding in particular that’s been playing over and over again in our minds took place on the 28th of March and everything about it just clicked. For starters, the weather actually behaved itself (I know, we were shocked too). With blue skies, golden sunshine and not a rain cloud in sight, it felt like spring had finally decided to show up – which was just as well since the clients had asked us to serve the meal outdoors.

Hog Roast BridgwaterBy the time 4:30pm rolled around, guests were milling around the lawns with cool drinks in hand, soaking it all in and then… the smell of the food started drifting through the air.

While the couple had been exchanging vows and posing for pictures, Hog Roast Bridgwater had been busy behind the scenes all morning, and when it was time for us to serve, the reaction from the guests said it all. But this time we didn’t stop at the hog roast. Wanting to make sure there was plenty for everyone to get stuck into, we prepared handmade British beef burgers stacked with melted cheese and onions, sausages hot off the grill, Thai chicken kebabs with a bit of kick and veggie skewers loaded with colour – and optional halloumi – which disappeared just as quickly as we could put them out.

The happy couple couldn’t have pictured a better day and were over the moon with how attentive the Hog Roast Bridgwater team were throughout, which made it easy for them to relax and enjoy their wedding without any added stress. If you ask us, that’s exactly how it should be.

If you’re planning your own big day and want something that feels easy, fun and seriously tasty, we’d love to be part of it. Just don’t be surprised if your guests keep talking about the food long after the cake’s gone.
