WILL MY ZEUS MACHINE MEET MY STATIC AND MOBILE CATERING NEEDS?
The needs of the modern day caterer are vast. Never before has food been of such an eclectic nature as regards the ingredients involved as well as the methods utilised to cook them. The United Kingdom is in the midst of a food small food revolution, as many people are now a lot more conscious and aware of the food they eat and where it comes from. No longer burdened by mediocre fare, the tastes of the public of Britain, as a collective whole, are becoming more discerning indeed. With the rise of the celebrity chef and a new angle as towards the preparation of food, the classic concept of hog and spit roasting has witnessed a significant revival, which we think is absolutely fantastic!
In regards to the hog roast caterer, both static and mobile, this places a much higher emphasis on getting things right. Due to heightened expectation through the fact that people are generally eating far better food than they were ten or twenty years ago, the absolute importance of making sure your food is fantastic has never been more prevalent in the minds of those you will be serving food to.
The Zeus machine fits this new trend like a hand in a glove. Indeed, the Zeus was a fantastic investment on behalf of the caterer well before people’s tastes were relatively awakened. The rustic and the modern fit seamlessly together to create the perfect dining spectacle, irrespective of whether you’re a mobile or static caterer.
For the mobile caterer, the Zeus utilises super-tough stainless steels in areas of high wear and makes use of powder coated steel in other areas. Its sheer mobile capabilities facilitated by the four wheels clad in pneumatic tyres complete with steering system allow for unprecedented ease of movement for the lone caterer. Along with this, the wheel system makes crossing fields and gravel very straightforward indeed. The burning units roast in either hog roast format, spit roast format or, with the option that allows the best of both worlds, the combination roaster format. With super-clean gas burners and superb build quality throughout, the Zeus is an ideal unit for an open kitchen in a restaurant where diners can view their meat turning and roasting towards a heavenly golden hue. Able to roast anything within its cavernous belly, the machine is exceptionally versatile and rugged, making it worth its weight in gold in a static kitchen as well as a mobile caterers van. The list goes on as to why it’s a great product for the catering world, but don’t take our word for it, see for yourself.
DOES THE COMBINATION OF STEELS IN THE CONSTRUCTION HELP OR HINDER ME AS A CATERER?
We have always, since we began designing and making our own hog and spit roast machines over ten years ago, been 100% committed to achieving absolute quality and build brilliance within our engineered products. As with our huge back-catalogue of catering operations that The Spitting Pig has excelled itself at, we never ever accept anything but the finest when it comes to the products that we sell. In a trade where reputation is everything, it would not be in our interest to do so, and its part of the reason why so many catering based business enterprises fall by the wayside.
In our in house design and construction facility, we manufacture the machines that we both sell to caterers and the public as well as the machines that we use ourselves at our own catering events. Through our extensive catering, we have developed our machines over the years to the extent that they now represent the finest in catering capability. And, bar the Titan, nowhere is this more evident than with the Zeus hog and spit roaster machine.
The dual steel construction provides a neat step-down from the Titan machine. In essence, the machine is the same, as the dimensions and culinary capabilities are no different. The Zeus machine can still tackle, with ease, a hog up to the weight of 85 kilos. It can still go anywhere due to its undercarriage and wheel system which is a real triumph for the modern caterer (as many hog roast machines out there have wheels, just not ones that are actually capable of dealing with rough ground, rocky paths and gravel clad inclines. Believe us, its these little things that make your life all the more easy). The use of powder coated toughened steel is a multi-faceted one. First of all, as it is cheaper than stainless steel, the usage of the powder coated variant allows you to make a considerable saving. Important in tough economic times, this model has been meticulously thought out, as where we could use powder coated steel without impairing the performance of the machine, we did so. For the caterer, the machine is still an epic powerhouse, but compared to the Titan, it just needs a little more care. If this is provided, then the machine will work for just as long and just as well. As a response to the economic downturn, this allows our intensive caterers to still maximise in their role as ‘in-the-field’ caterers, whilst also allowing them to save money in the process.
