Hog Roast Machine for Sale - Pig Roast Machine for Sale - CE Approved Hog Roast Oven
Hog roast machines are becoming more and more popular, with it being a great theatrical way to entertain your guests and a relatively cheap way to feed a lot of people in comparison to other catering methods.
All hog roast machines for sale are available for purchase now have to be CE marked, so as a customer you have the peace of mind that the machines have been tested and are safe for use by anyone who buys one.
But if you are buying a machine, make sure that any machine you buy has a Ce mark and a plaque because like any industry there are people out there who haven’t gone through the proper channels.
Other things you want to look for when purchasing a machine are how easy the machine is going to be to use. Will it go through a standard doorway to get the hog roast oven into someone’s back garden?, does it have big chunky pneumatic tyres so it can be pulled across grass or gravel without you getting a hernia, does it have a steering mechanism so it can be moved by just one person.
More and more people are choosing to hire machines now, because it has never been easier, the spitting pig machines are so simple to use as a hog roast, and the service that you as a customer get is 2nd to none. The hog roast machine is dropped off with you ready to go with gas, and picked up from you afterwards at a time that is best for you.
The pig roast machines for sale are capable of cooking everything, not just pigs. There are different attachments, Spit roast attachments so you can cook pigs, lambs and turkeys, a chicken spit attachment so you can cook thirty five chickens or strip loins of beef or joints of meat.
A BBQ attachment so the machines can be used as a BBQ, which is a really useful attachment to really utilise the machine, for example if you have one of the machines and you are having a party for a hundred adults and twenty children, once you have cooked the pig and it has been raised up on the machine, the BBQ plates can be fitted by simply sliding on to of the machine, meaning that you can then cook burgers and sausages for the children. And they work really well, because the heat off the two big burners has nowhere else to go but up, so within a couple of minutes the BBQ plates are ready to go, and the heat is a convection heat, meaning that you won't burn the food like you would on a traditional charcoal BBQ.
If you are a total novice, or you are just hiring the machine there is also the hog roast attachment, which effectively turns the machine into an oven, so just like using your oven at home you simply put what ever you want to cook inside the hog roast oven and turn it on.
This means that anyone and everyone can cook a pig or a lamb or whatever they choose, it really is effortless.
All of these things make a huge difference when it comes to cooking a pig; it makes the difference between you having an easy day or sometimes, the day from hell.
Also has the company you are buying the machine from got a good reputation?, have they been successfully trading for a good few years?, do they give you a warranty?, are there machines stock items?, because if they are not and you loose a part or something breaks the chances are that they wont be able to get the replacement part out to you the next day. In some ways this is the most important, because if you are a caterer and you have an event booked in for the next day, the last thing you want to do is let your customer down because your machine is missing a vital part, meaning that your business looses money, your company gets a bad name for not turning up to an event and your customer has no catering at there event.
Another thing you should check for is that all the vital parts on the machine that are going to get the wear and tear are stainless steel. This not only stops the paint flaking off when it comes to carving the beast but it makes things a lot easier when you come to cleaning the machine.
Spitting Pig began life as a catering company covering the whole country with hog roast catering using a very basic design of hog roast machine built in South west Australia. We took this design and over the years improved on it by using it every day and being pretty handy with a welder and grinder kept altering it. At the time Spitting Pig was only one business we where running, we also had another business buying written off 7.5 tonne trucks and putting them back on the road. So at work we had the skills and resources to develop our hog roast machines. We would be on site working and we would come across a problem or something would break or go wrong and we’d think if that bit was actually like this then you would not have that problem. Then the next day we would get out our tools and some metal and fabricate a new part. This process continued for about ten years. During this time we built hog roast machines of all shapes and sizes. Twenty foot trailers capable of cooking six pigs at a time................. put in picture, trailers themed like a Wild West chuck wagon for butlins.................... link to butlins?? Show picture. Large ovens for use inside a restaurant for Jamie Oliver....................link picture? What also happened was the machine we were using and adapting for the outside catering market became a very refined trust worthy piece of kit that would run and run without any problems and very little maintenance. It was taking shape to be the perfect hog roast machine.
What happened next was that people started wanting to buy our hog roast oven machines to use themselves and kept asking us where they could get one. Well by now they where completely different than the original machine we had started out with. We would go out and do a hog roast catering job and come home without the machine having been persuaded to sell it to the host or to other caterers working at the event. So we started building some hog roast machines with the intention of selling them, first five, then ten, then twenty as many as we built people bought as our reputation spread amongst the professional hog roasters, our machine became the hog roast machine chosen by the serious hog roasting community. So we went to a local engineering company and started taking the idea of manufacturing a bit more seriously. They helped us take the first steps on the road to being a manufacturer rather than someone who sells the odd machine. We then got caught up in the world of CE marking and health and safety which took us a couple of years to navigate our way around. During this period our reputation for building the best hog roast machines on the market just grew and grew we now had advance orders and people waiting for equipment. This was not how we do business so we decided to tool up and start our own manufacturing facility.
We invested in a lot of machinery; laser cutting technology, cnc lathes, welders, band saws, benders, the list was never ending. But what it meant was we were in control of our own costs and stock levels so we could ensure that every single piece of the machine was kept in stock and available for next day Delivery. So if you lost a piece or broke something by nine am the next day we could have you operational again. You can visit us at our base Monday to Friday nine to five, or by appointment outside these hours. What also happened was that the build quality of our hog roast machines increased whilst at the same time our costs decreased so we were able to lower the retail price of our machines. What it also meant was we were now able to develop new hog roast machine accessories at our factory and then put these into production meaning that we could now use our machines for lots of other things, chicken rotisserie, hog roasting, barbecues, jacket potatoes, fish. The list is never ending and we continue to develop new products every day. We now have hog roast machine engineers with years of experience all gained by working with us developing and building our hog roast machines.
We then started to design a hog roast machine for smaller parties the sort of thing you might buy for home or to use outside a pub or restaurant. Small enough to not be intrusive or take up too much space but big and tough enough to cook a whole pig and cater for parties of fifty people easily and use every day without breaking down or starting to look tired. This is our professional range we wanted to keep the same high quality tough build and design that we use on the commercial machine but scale it down for a more compact product. We are really pleased with the end result and sales are now starting to come steadily in. Any product like this needs a lot of time in the develop stage and then testing rigorously for many months so that all the little teething problems can be ironed out before you go into production.
All our machines are now built in such away that they can be delivered in a box and assembled very easily in about ten minutes on site. This means it does not matter where you are we can generally have a machine delivered to you next day ready for use in about ten minutes. They are simple to understand but just in case you are struggling we supply them with an instructional cd showing how to operate the machine and how to prepare and cook different meats. The office is open on our free phone number five days a week as well for any other information or help with technical questions.
The next addition to our range was a large pig roaster that can run on natural gas and operate in doors in a traditional kitchen environment. This was a real challenge as most spit roasting technology is based around the outside catering and barbecuing industry which is typically used out doors at events. So it was a challenge to come up with an alternative design that could work in doors using a different fuel source. It certainly kept us busy for a couple of month. The first finished oven is now up and running in Jamie Oliver’s new Restaurant in Canary Wharf....link?? We are hoping for big things with this latest addition to the Spitting Pig family of hog roast machines. Pictur?? We are developing a smaller hog roast oven which will be in production by summer 2010 this will be ideal for commercial kitchens or even for a large family kitchen. It will also be a great addition to an outside bbq area at a pub restaurant or large home. These are also being developed to run off electric.
We now have a great selection of machines for the any customer to choose from. We can visit you at your establishment or you can call round to a base and have a look at the lads working and inspect the different designs of machine and hog roast accessories.
