Naturally, having omitted the fact that it was the directors birthday in last months ‘Latest News’ feed, I’ve decided to dedicate this one to our chief – so Happy belated Birthday el Capitan!

            Now then, to things more important (!), as this month saw the move of our premises. A big step for anyone, but especially for a family; as our former home constituted not only our base of operations, but our spiritual and family home too. In our old premises we developed many of our approaches, menus and machine systems. In our old home we debated, tooth and nail, ways of improving our service. And that is what we did. In our old home we grew, we held our customers needs in our hands; some of them fragile, and we saw to it that those desires were not crushed by inefficiency or lack of effort. Instead, as we evolved, our client list did also, ultimately putting us in touch with more of our glorious customers, recipients of our machine technology and our catering services alike. And our former home was a witness to this. So before I delve into the charms and delights of our new premises, let me first say this to our former home; Thank you. And farewell.

            Comprising of a whole team effort, The Spitting Pig Company moved its entire focus to a brand new home! Working as a team (though at times not as seamlessly as we do on catering operations or on our hog roast machine development), the necessities of a cutting edge catering outfit moved over the space of a few days. With more space and light, the new premises gives us the opportunity to feel more relaxed, even when (at times such as the very present) the phones are going berserk and the email inboxes are filling at a phenomenal rate. The move coincided with our natural evolution as well as our desire to push; its this attitude which has, in essence, kept us at the forefront of the spit roast catering realm.

            After the heavy lifting associated with the relocating of desks and computers, the finer aspects, including feng shui, fell once again to our more creative types. To quote the driver of the removal van, ‘I seldom have the pleasure of witnessing such an eclectic and lively team.’ The removal process, though difficult and laborious, was tackled with the same enthusiasm that has propelled us forwards and upwards. It’s the attitude of success. And it can be tasted in every bite of our delicious, hearty and nutritious food.

            From our new base of operations we will continue to build upon our foundations. Foundations of service, loyalty and trust. Known all over the land for this, we are aware of how complacency can negate and rot away many catering firms. Thus, with a new vigour, we push on and innovate.

            With the summer season firmly underway, it was imperative that our move went surreptitiously well. Due to the necessity of keeping up to date with all of our customers and suppliers alike, we are proud to say that the move went like clockwork, with no mis-haps. Well done team!

            To firmly kick off our super spit roast season, here are a few words from a few members of our team:

Director; Gearing up for the summer push, machines ready to go and orders flooding in thick and fast. Hoping for a good summer and wishing all our customers an-ash-cloud-free one too!

Secretary; its fantastic hearing from so many of you already! I truly don’t remember such a busy month of May. Your parties sound excellent, great locations, great ideas. Guess all you need now is the greatest addition of all.. US! Can’t wait to get it all sorted for you!

Accountant; Busy Busy Busy! When there’s been much talk of who’s voting for whom in the general election, we’re pleased to see and hear that our customers have voted PIG! Well we may not have the solution to the country’s economic woes, however we do know how to feed the smiles that help tie a nation together. Look forward to dealing with your parties and functions, have a great summer.

            So as we finish off the finer points of our summer plan, we hope that you come and join us. Wherever the function we’re confident that a hog roast will vastly improve it. With a catalogue of testimonials that could fill numerous large hard-bound volumes, we reckon that this summer, our hog roast has your name on it.
