The spring clad nature of April saw much excitement in the mystical halls of the Spitting Pig Company.

            Housing not only the blessed occasion of Easter, where eggs are shared to celebrate passing of Christ and his subsequent re-birth, April hosts the transition of trade within the Spitting Pig; as the people of the land begin to look forward to summer. With this in mind, many of our existing customers, and new customers alike, have been getting in touch with us, through our easy to use website enquiry forms (available at www.spittingpig.co.uk) or the telephone, in order to plan their summer catered events. Ranging from garden parties, sporting occasions and birthdays, right through to event launches and large corporate functions, our customers needs have continued to evolve alongside our ever increasing capabilities. Marking the true beginning of the year for all here at the Spitting Pig Company, it’s a thrill a minute I our offices, with the phones exceeding the incessant nature of last month, both in terms of machine enquiries and catering ones too. So as its our New Year, may we wish all of our customers, new and old, the best summer, and of course, may we wish England the best of luck in the World Cup!
            Like greyhounds in the slips, our patented and improved hog roasting machines wait in their hundreds. Crowding the depots like a team of ravenous, yet efficient and highly aesthetic in their nature, beasts, this year our machines will go out in their droves to our customers, both here and abroad. Keeping a healthy stock of machines is something we learnt to do a long while ago. While being an unprecedented means of earning profit for the mobile and static caterer alike, the purchase of a spit roasting machine is a significant purchase, even though it is a ‘no-brainer’ of an investment.             Following the meeting of all the Spitting Pig depots in the UK, our few minor problems have been ironed out. Facilitating faster routes with our friends in the global positioning industry, we have become even more efficient in terms of transport. With updates to our vans and cooling equipment, it is also now possible for the most delicate of ingredients to be served to our customers in the most remote of locations. So now if your in the city or on a Hebridean Island, fear not! As we have yet again pushed the envelope in underlining our commitment to our customers by being able to serve, wherever and whatever the weather. With our menus up for review, our catering teams and ingredient specialists have been combing the culinary globe in search of new combinations and exciting innovations to add to our already extensive and comprehensive menu combinations. Full of vigour and (sometimes excessive levels of) creativity, our catering team have committed themselves to searching high and low for side dishes, salads and vegetables which compliment our fabulous meats.

So as the team pushes itself into fifth gear and readies itself for the summer ahead, you have to ask yourself this question, do you want in? With an undoubtedly glorious season ahead of us all, do you wish to take part in the hog roast experience? Think of culinary perfection, a visual experience to dazzle and smells that will be imprinted on the minds of many for the future, near and distant. So with the best of ingredients and a spit-roast, what finer way is there to cater for your event this summer? Equally, the prospect of becoming one of the owners of our machines (and thus also the recipient of our on-going support, crucial for the new business and nervous starter alike), gives the opportunity to make this summer not only a real and beautiful one, but a profitable one too.
