local charity event

Another working week has begun for the Spitting team and it looks set to be busier than ever.  We have received lots of enquiries over the weekend from both existing and new clients wanting to use our catering and machine hire services for events that have planned in the future.  All these should keep us more than busy for the rest of the day.

We had the pleasure of catering for a local charity event yesterday.  A cricket tournament was being held to raise awareness and money for a local hospice and we provided one of our excellent BBQs.  The was over ten teams competing for the trophy and lots of spectators as all the players friends and family came down to cheer them on and offer support.  It was a great family day out with childrens entertainment and face painting for the kids for the adults there was a raffle with some great prizes and a discounted bar, no enjoying the cheap drinks for us though as we were far too busy providing the tasty snacks.  Before the final match the raffle was drawn and I was the lucky winner of the top prize, a leather reclining chair!

We served burgers, hot dogs and salads for the hungry players and supporters and the food was soon gone.  The day also gave us a chance to talk to be people in the local area about our services and what we can provide for their special occasions, we made 4 new appointments for this week as people told us they were so impressed with the quality of food and service that they would like to pop in and see us to discuss us providing the food at other events.

It was a great day for all involved and they managed to raise over 800 pounds for the hospice well done to everybody.
