Here at Spitting Pig we have a wild and wonderful weekend planned ahead of us, with a range of events from; a company open day in Cambridge where we are going to roast two juicy pigs for them and put them in our soft white floured rolls with our special stuffing and appetising applesauce, birthday party in Somerset where they have picked our Private Party Menu 3 they decided they wanted us to roast Local Free Range Spit Roasted Chicken served with Stuffing and Homemade Onion Gravy which sounds delightful doesn’t it, after we got a wedding to attend to in Coventry. Today has been and look to be really chilly hopefully it will brighten up for these events we have planned. It has been very sunny this whole week until today, but this will not put a damper on our day due to our multipurpose gazebos which can be used to block out the sun and keep you shady, stop the rain from ruining your day.
When the sun was shining everyone went mad booking us for machine hires and hire us out to cater. During the spring but mainly in the summer people go crazy for our hog roasts it really is amazing, yet we still get bookings during autumn and even winter. Even though the Jubilee week is near enough 3 months away we are getting loads of bookings to cater on this outstanding event or they want to be a chef for the day and cater. We have been asked by many people to cater outside in the street. This will be a crazy yet amazing experience.
This week we hosted a massive event for a big company which we have catered for many years now. We set up our Corporate Hospitality Menu Option 5, which consists of 6 delightful and light canapés to get your taste buds tingling, then a choice of one of our scrumptious starters to prepare you for what is to come, they had a grand choice of 2 main courses they obviously pick Spit Roasted Pig served with Apple Sauce, Stuffing and Crispy Crackling and Spit Roasted Sirloin of Beef served with Horseradish Sauce, Yorkshire Puddings and Homemade Red Wine Gravy which they enjoy thoroughly these scrumptious dishes were served with our yummy crusty bread rolls with a selection of sauces, 3 salads; Tomato & Basil, Carrot & Orange with Sesame Dressing and then Classic Caesar if that wasn’t enough they had to their potato option which they opted for New Potatoes Roasted with Sea Salt and Rosemary. You may be thinking that this was the end of the Menu but it isn’t to polish the glorious feast off the 2 delicious desserts; Cheesecake and Chocolate Torte.

At Spitting Pig we have been extremely busy, so much so we have been working overtime. We have booked a couple of events for this up coming weekend we could also have more by the end of the week!
We have been asked to host a company show day for a rather big named company. We have hosted a couple of show days over the years for them already. So we know where we will be setting up and how to position everything, which helps in a big way due to the fact we know what hog roast machines will fit in the required space we have, how much or how little take. The last two show days were great success, for this show day coming up and the last two, we roasted two pigs beautifully turning them golden brown and made the crackling sensational. Many of the guests loved our homemade Applesauce and Stuffing. This Private Party Menu is a big hit with everyone, big companies, and customers from all over. It may be simply but it tastes sublime, I may be the most popular menu since it’s quick and easy to make plus goes down well at any event.
Everyone has been going crazy this week with booking for the Jubilee. We have had more than 100 customers asking for us to cater at the Jubilee we have set up a grand Summer BBQ Menu since we feel it is perfect for this event. It consists of BBQ 100% Beef Handmade Burgers, Chefs Own Gourmet Sausage, Chicken Kebabs & Meaty Marinated Spare Ribs, we also provide a vegetarian alternative like always to please those people who are vegetarians. All theses delicious dishes are served with Soft Floured Rolls, plus there is more; Three Freshly Made Salads; which are Tomato and Mozzarella Salad with Basil Dressing, Fresh Green Leaf Salad, Comprising Lollo Rosso, Curly Endive and Lambs Leaves, Delicious Hand Made Coleslaw, which is all made on site by your Chef. To top it all off you get scrumptious Warm New Potatoes in Herb Butter. We feel this is a Menu that must not be missed.

With this wonderful weather this week we at Spitting Pig are enjoying it very much and I’m sure our chefs are loving it too especially when they get to roast a beautiful hog outside.
We have had hundreds of enquires this week and it has only been three days. People are all thinking the same thing; a hog roast would be perfect in this weather, we also agree chilling outside with either family or friends or maybe even both, having a laugh, ice cold drinks, sunbathing and a golden brown hog sizzling away. Some of our customers have jumped at the chance to get the Private Party Menu 1, which is Spit Roasted Pig Served with Apple Sauce, Stuffing & Crispy Crackling, and Served with Soft Floured Rolls; which really goes down a treat. It’s simple yet so effective as well as being very tasty. We have been busy nonstop these last couple of days, the sun really has a positive effect on hog roasting as well as Spitting Pig.

So you can roast a whole meal with the machine, what you could do is roast Pig, potatoes and vegetables, then just swap the meat and have that all week.

Here at Spitting Pig we have been expanding and will keep on expanding our business around the UK and hopefully become really well known. We have loads of branches all over the UK, we have Twitter and just recently created a Facebook page since there are millions and millions of people that use social networking now days. So we are trying to gain a fan base as well as well known through the internet. Not many people have heard of Spitting Pig or even know about hog roasting! But through the power of the internet we be able to achieve our goal. We even have a YouTube account so people can visually see how amazing and beautify hog roasting is.
People know us through friends or searching Google. We provide and invaluable service which all our customers love and respect. We always leave customers with big smiles and full bellies after every event. Hog roasting is a truly a great experience and we hope to share that experience with you so we can make that experience perfect and trouble free. We have been around for many years and have catered for hundreds of customers most of our customers have used us again and again since they loved us that much plus we cater for loads of different events; weddings, corporate parties, birthday parties, christening, store or company opening days, company show days, any event you want we can cater no matter what.
We have made customers events that little bit more special with a beautiful hog roast. It is amazing on the eyes; since it’s visually a wonderful site, tongue; it tastes absolutely delightful and stomach; it will surely fill you up. Here at The Spitting Pig Co we value our customer’s opinions especially on how we present ourselves and our food. Let me set this scene for you imagine it’s a family members wedding day, the sun is beating down through the windows as whomever it may be is saying their vows, your stomach starts to rumble making itself known then all you can start looking forward to is that delicious, mouth-watering meat spinning around and around that spit roast. In your mind you’re begging for this service to hurry up, then suddenly it’s ending and everyone is piling their way through to the hall but you want to be the first one to get meat slipping past your lips and the juices dripping down the corner of your mouth but you decide to just wait for everyone to get through first. As you’re about to walk through the door you hear everyone gasp and your first thoughts are something has gone wrong, but once you’re past the doors you stand in shock & amazement at how perfectly organised and beautifully laid out this food is. Even the caterers have a big smile on their face welcoming everyone. You know you’re not a mind reader but you can tell these caterers would love to just dig in to all that food. However you see this hog spinning around and you slowly feel saliva coming from the corner of your mouth, you rush and get a plate. Your plate is piled high in vegetables, all different kind of delicious potatoes then you get to the meat. The caterer puts a mass of tenderised meat; you have to do some balancing trick to get it to your plate without losing any of this “work of art.” You sit down and start to dig in, your heart suddenly skips a beat at how amazing the hog is, you know your taste buds are enjoying this just as much as you are and if they could they’d praise you for giving them the perfect gift. The smell of the hog lingers around your nose; the crackling is like music to your ears. But as quickly as it came your plate is empty and you are contemplating getting more and of course you do.
All this sounds perfect, right? It’s already been one day and sales and hire have been coming through none stop! We are very busy at Spitting Pig yet we still acquire all details for the customer and make sure they are happy and know the depth of what they are booking. Since we have business all over the UK, we are never too far from you and you never far away from a Spitting Pig branch. By doing this saves minimum time travelling and more time setting up for your wonderful event. Our businesses are just as professional, friendly and outgoing as the next. Whatever the event or wherever you live we will be there. Having branches all over the UK we share our experiences and expertises.
Our business aim to please, you are not just a valued customer but a friend, at Spitting Pig we like making friends throughout our visits. We have made many friends across the UK and by doing so we build a healthy relationship up with the customer. Today we will be hosting an event for one of our loyal and best suppliers, Wellocks, they are a big company on the same estate as our head office. We have built up an amazing relationship with them. For their hard work all year round for us we set up a huge event every year to show our thanks. This is where the company has a big get together and enjoy a nice feast. We think this is a very special event due to the fact all year round they help us with our vegetables, so we repay them with our meat. As I have mentioned before we love building up special relationship with companies as well as customers, it makes our day that little more special.
We have recently set up a lovely sit down meal for a lovely couple who have recently contacted us for the first time, not knowing about hog roasting, they heard about us from a friend and they called us up for a private party. Since they were first time bookers they were nervous but our friendly staff helped them though the website to pick a menu which looked most appetising. Menu 2 looked “amazing and truly delicious.” We then set up the best and most comfortable time and date for them, it may be months away but we are looking forward to making a new friend and hopefully a frequent customer.

What a marvellous weekend we had. We had an amazing weekend in Liverpool, cooking up a feast for lovely Liverpool. Hog roast in Liverpool is a great experience for us and I’m sure for them. We had cooked up our wonderful menu 3 for a private party which went down stunningly all the guests loved our
food they were sad to see us leave, we quickly and efficiently cleaned and packed up and were on the road again to good old Manchester which we have had many eventful and thrilling times. 3 weeks ago we were in Manchester hosting a big event for a huge company there were 100+ yet we cooked enough for everyone and they thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous meat on display.
Having over 25 years of experience in Hog roasting we have travelled all over having different yet truly amazing times and also making loyal customers as well as various friends along the way. That is a huge part of our business and we love it. Meeting new and vibrate people is a great part of our job and we
hope to see all customers again as well as new ones. Also this weekend we set up a fabulous banquet for a posh and professional
company and we matched our layout and food on that same principle posh and professional. They were delighted when they saw what we had planned and that was only out the layout of tables and chairs, they were amazed when the saw the hog roasting. That’s a big advantage of our hog roasting machine they work perfectly with the meat and cook it to perfection. Seeing the faces of the executive’s patiently waiting and watching the hog slowly being roasting turning golden brown. Once they received the beautifully cooked hog, it didn’t take long before all was gone. They really enjoyed our menu, which has a 5 Canapés to be served while they wait and to give them a little taster before the big main course which had various meats to pick from but our main Spit Roasted Pig served with Apple Sauce, Stuffing & Crispy Crackerling were picked by most. To polish it all off two puddings yes two delight dishes to finish the meal with loads to take your fancy with and it certainly took their fancy. All in all it was a grand success we could go back to our factory knowing we have once again put smiles on both people faces and their bellies.
