Welcome to the latest Spitting Pig weekly blog.   Its Wednesday the 17th of November, its getting cold outside, the days are flying by and Christmas is just around the corner!

This is great news for us as Christmas is our favourite time of the year and only so one of our busiest times.  From now right up until Christmas Eve we will be caught up in the Christmas party season.  Helping people all over the UK celebrate the festive season in style!  Many companies choose us year after year to provide the catering for their works annual party.  Weekend is usually the busiest times for our catering teams but at this time of year it is non stop through the week days too as a different Christmas party is booked for almost everyday, seven days a week for the next five weeks.

Our first works party of the year is tomorrow night.  A small manufacturing company who are based not too far away from our Head office they are a repeat client of ours who we have worked with for the past five years and we supply the food for their Christmas celebrations every year.  This year they have chosen one of our tasty Christmas menus which is spit roasted turkeys served with fresh cranberry sauce and home made sage and onion stuffing plus all the trimmings.  To finish we will be served minced pies and clotted cream and our special mulled wine to wash it all down.

This will be one of our medium sized Christmas events as we will be catering for and serving just over 100 hundred guests.  Some of the festive events we will be doing in the next month will range from the very small to extremely large.  For example on Saturday night we are provided a sit down meal for  a works Christmas do its a small local business so we are catering for just 25 people.   Then next weekend we will be holding a hog and lamb roast buffet for 1000 hard working employees at another Christmas works event.

So if you are a large corporate company or a small local business make sure you and your colleagues celebrate in style with help from The Spitting Pig Company

This weekend is a little less hectic than last but we still have enough jobs to keep us busy before the Christmas rush begins.  Over the next few days we have some private parties to cater for.  The first one is tomorrow evening as we help one of our customers celebrate her 30th birthday in style with a lamb roast and barbecue for 200 party guests at a hotel in Cheshire.  Lots more celebrations during the weekend and we will finish on Sunday evening at 50th wedding anniversary party in North Wales.  There we will be serving our famous hog roast for the couple and 50 of their closest friends and family as they celebrate their golden wedding anniversary.

Remember Remember the 5th of November ……..

Friday, November 5th, 2010

Welcome back to the Spitting Pig Company weekly blog.  Its Friday the 5th of November and its Bonfire night!  The spitting pig caterers are looking forward to lots of catering jobs over the weekend and the chance to see some spectacular fire work displays.

Our main event this evening is a bonfire party just outside Skipton its a big community event with over 500 people attending.  There will be lots of entertainment, a huge bonfire, firework display and lots of sparklers.  Its our job to feed the guests so we will be preparing our ever popular famous party menu1 the classic pig in a bun option.  Two huge hogs will be cooked to perfection and served to the hungry guests in a soft floured roll with homemade apple sauce and stuffing and crispy crackling o the side.  The tasty snack should help keep them warm and continue their celebrations through the night.

Although this is our largest event this weekend we have lots more events to keep us busy right through until Sunday night.  With lots of smaller bonfire events and lots of machine hires to deliver around the UK as many people are taking advantage of our excellent machine hire offers and doing their very own hog roast at their bonfire night parties.
