Hey Guys, Hello and welcome to the latest instalment of the Spitting Pig monthly newsletter. This month we will be updating you on what’s been going on over the Christmas period. Well first of all what a year 2010 was I still can’t believe how fast it has gone it seems like only yesterday that we were in the heat of the summer sun working all the hours god sends.

 I was quietly hoping for a quieter winter period so that all of us could take it easy however that wasn’t the case and we were rushed off our feet but it was all worth it knowing that we were providing the highest quality service and catering across the nation. So what have we been up to over the Christmas period, well it would properly easier to tell you what we haven’t been up, however I there was one day that sums up exactly what a day over Christmas was like for us. I arrived at the unit at 7.30am already Jason and Richard were busy working away they had arrived back late from their event in the Northwest because of the snow and instead of going home and taking it easy they decided to do the sensible thing and sleep at the special beds in our base so they could get the best possible start in the morning.

By the time I had arrived they had already loaded the specially converted catering van we use for larger event and were ready to go. Talking to them later in the day they had a great time roasting a pig for a private party up in the Northeast of the country and they were extremely glad that they decided to get up earlier as it made the entire day run as smooth as possible. Meanwhile I was busy helping load the second for our second job of the day.

Just as I finished our two chefs and their assistants for the day showed up and I handed them a job pack which surprising enough was another Christmas party and waved them off. I then spent the rest of the morning washing up used kitchen utensils and taking order of fresh meat and vegetables for the following days work. When I finally got into the office it was midday and the girls in their were run off their feet, booking in work, responding to emails and answering the telephone so i immediately starting helping them with their days work. Just as I thought id finished for the day and was preparing to go home for the day my third catering team arrive back they had finished a party in the midland and had got lucky and got home early. However I couldn’t leave them to tidy up and unload the van by themselves so I stayed to help then just as we were finishing Jason and Richard arrived back. When I eventually got home it was 1 o’clock “oh well” i said just another day at Spitting Pig.
