The closing ceremony of the London 2012 games is looming and what an absolute spectacle it has been! We have seen our cyclists dominate all of the competition at the Velodrome. We have seen our newly made Olympic heroes such Ben Ainslie, Jessica Ennis and many more dominate the competition. And we have dominated the competition at the Spitting Pig as well.

We always have, and always will be, number one when it comes to hog roast machines. Whether it’s from the ever popular Titan range of machinery, to the newest addition to the line, the Hogmaster; our machines are just quality across the board.

We had a great start to the summer period with the Queens diamond Jubilee, as machines were being hired out for all types of events, garden parties, street parties and corporate function. All were being used for the same cause; to celebrate the queen’s historic 60th year on the throne. What better ways is there to spend than on a sunny Sunday afternoon, knowing it’s a bank holiday, with a drink in one hand, and a tasty, succulent pork sandwich in the other. It’s fair to say that the Jubilee certainly kept us busy in the Spitting Pig machines department.

We also saw Andy Murray reach the Wimbledon final, the first man to do so since 1936. This was a quite an achievement and there was also an achievement in the Spitting Pig machine department. as we were breaking sales records with people buying machines left, right and centre. Although perhaps our achievement was not of the same magnitude!

We also saw England play at Euro 2012 and give a lion hearted performance against the Italians. Caterers up and down the country were desperate to get the machines in pristine condition for game and were flooding our office with orders looking for Gas taps, thermocouples and pilot lights in order to sure there events ran perfectly.
Finally, the Olympics came to London and the opening ceremony was a real spectacle! Again we were on hand to ensure all of our customers machines were working correctly and could deliver great results. We expect the same for when the closing ceremony comes around in a few days time…

It’s been a fantastic summer of sport so far and a fantastic summer so far for the Spitting Pig, we just hope it continues for the remainder of summer and for next year.
